- Mark and Heather Messick were college sweethearts and married May 4, 2002. Mark is an Education Pastor and Heather is a stay-at-home-mom and music professional (amongst other creative-type interests). The Messicks have 3 girls... Elyssa(4), Natalie(3) and Victoria (2). Victoria was born with Down Syndrome and several heart defects, which required surgery. The Messicks love the Lord and thank Him for all His blessings in their lives!

I just read several of your blogs and was moved to tears. You are precious family and your love and faith are showing. I will be praying for you and Victoria and the rest of your family. Victoria is in the best hands...God's. He holds her with the gentleness, love, understanding, and knowledge of her creator. He knows and sees every detail. I pray you will feel God's presence comforting, strengthening, and bringing you peace that passes all understanding. May we all learn to rest and wait upon the Lord with the same abandon as Little Victoria. May your love for the Lord grow stronger as you wait, may your love for each other grow to depths you have never known, and may we all give God praise for His mighty acts of kindness and provision.
